Unit 2: Space

New unit has started. I got folder 4 - Edgar Allan Poe and his works "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Pit and the Pendulum".
So just to get a better view, I decided to research the author first, before starting to read his works. Just to sketch out his life in general.


E.A. Poe - horror and science fiction writer seemed to have pretty difficult and interesting life himself.
His parent dyed at about when he was 3 years old.
He studied Latin and poetry, but because there were difficulties with money, he left the university and joined the army for couple of years. There were attempts to get back to study. At an older age Poe turned to alcoholic and displayed erratic behavior. he became engaged to his teenage sweetheart.
The last days of Edgar Allan Poe are surrounded with mystery . Some say he died from alcoholism, some claim he was murdered, and various diseases have also been attributed.
