In the book "From Concept to Construct" there's a interesting tip to look out for artworks of a relevant topic to catch the feel the style in which your animation, film etc. can be produced.
Like Director James Cameron once mentioned, he woke up one morning with this image of half burned human-robot coming out of the flames. He than sketched the vision and built a story around it. And there you go, we have Terminator.
So why not an image can inspire the whole story.Lets give it a try
