  2. yes i agree, and the attention to the texturing is amazing, i love the marks where it seems something has been hung up on the wall before!

  6. Hey Jolanta, really liked your scene up on the big screen. I love the concept in general, where your scene really captures that sense of the surreal with an array of clothed objects leaving our imaginations to fill in the gaps.

  9. Hi Jolanta,

It seems like you had a very successful project this time around - All tutorials done and a finished scene. Excellent! I'm also assuming that you learnt a lot by experimenting and embracing new techniques in Maya (Ncloth) to complete your work. Again, excellent!

My only criticism at this stage is somewhat double edged. I was watching your progress carefully whilst you were lighting your scene. I was interested by your experimental methodology and you seemed to discover effective ways to obtain the desired result – Hence my non-intervention. This on one level is excellent - you solved a problem on your own. However, on the other hand 20+ lights are a little excessive for scene of this kind and there are techniques which would have received the same or better results in a far simpler manner. In essence, whilst you were happy fixing you own scene you could have asked for advice too. That way you get the best of both worlds - Your experimental nature combined with some insight.

  10. Hi Alan,

Thanks for the given advice :) I was inspired to do so after watching a gnomon tutorial, though I noticed indeed how the rendering time expanded.. Next time I'll seek for advice :D
    Cheers!
